The New Jersey remodeling services I offer include:
- Custom Colors: With the use of computers, I work closely with you to find the exact color you want. Also, each manufacturer I use has their own color wheel with hundreds of colors to choose from.
- Interior Painting: I take care to cover all furniture and cabinetry with new plastic sheeting. All woodwork is taped to give a perfect professional edge and of course all floors are covered before any paint is opened.
- Wall Preparation: It is very important to prepare walls before applying paper. This may include spackling, sanding, using oil primers and removing existing paper. Then a professional grade wallpaper primer such as Shields, manufactured by Zinsser, must be used to prevent edge failure.
- Wallpaper Installation: All wall coverings are installed with great attention to detail. For example, large prints will be installed so they have a focal point such as being centered over a fireplace or some other architectural detail in the room. This gives the room a feeling of symmetry. More detail is then added with the finishing trim paint.
- Mural and Border Installation: Murals and borders can be placed in many areas to add interest and depth to a room. It is best to lay out your design with tape to visualize the impact.
- Faux Finishes: You can further personalize your space with faux finishes. A more formal stripe or a casual overall tone on tone may be used. I also do glazes and color washes or a combination of all of the techniques. When deciding on a faux finish I'll do a sample board so you can see the desired effect.
